Names Common Name: Annularis Angelfish Other Names: Blue Ring Angel, Blue King Angel, Annularis Scientific Name: Pomacanthus annularis Annularis Angelfish - Also refered to as the Blue Ring Angelfish for the blue ring above its gills. This fish undergoes a color and pattern transformation from the juvenile to adult stage. Juveniles are dark blue with alternating white and light blue stripes and a white tail. Adults are light golden brown with spiraling blue stripes on the head, body and fins with a white tail. Generally a good aquraium inhabitant. May nip at corals Level of Care: Moderate Food: Diet included Spirulina, marine algae, mysid shrimp, meaty seafood, plant material, prepared sponge-based food.
